Methodology

How our analyses are produced

Novira and NBORSA are analysis and data-processing tools. They do not provide trading signals, investment advice or investment advisory services. They present the technical outlook of an asset in a consistent and comparable way, using rule-based algorithms tested on historical data.

Shared principles

Both apps run on the same analysis engine, adapted to the characteristics of each market.

  • Tested before release. Every method is tested on years of historical data under different market conditions before it is used.
  • Measured after release. Once live, the actual results of each method are measured continuously. A method that does not deliver the expected performance in the live market is paused automatically; measurement continues in the background, and the method resumes only when the criteria are met again.
  • Few, clear analyses. Only analyses that meet all quality criteria for the selected timeframe and direction are shown. It is therefore normal for a list to be short or empty at times. An empty list does not mean the system is not working; it means no reliable analysis can be produced at that moment.
  • Completed candles only. Assessments are updated when a candle closes, so they do not change with sudden, temporary price moves.
  • Continuous improvement. New or updated methods are tested on historical data and then measured in parallel in the live market, without being shown to users, before they are released.

CRYPTONovira Crypto

Market screen

Coins traded on Binance are listed with current market data. No editorial filtering is applied; the aim is to let you follow the whole market at a glance.

Coverage

Analyses are calculated for the 150 most-traded coins of the last 30 days, excluding stablecoins, pegged assets and leveraged or stock tokens. The list is updated daily. Coins outside the coverage are marked “Not covered” and receive no label or score, because the price of thinly traded coins can be moved easily.

Timeframes

Analyses are evaluated on five timeframes: 15 minutes and 1 hour reflect the short-term outlook, 4 hours a multi-day outlook, 1 day a multi-week outlook and 1 week the long-term outlook. Each timeframe is evaluated independently, so the same coin can look different on different timeframes. Short timeframes are more affected by random price movements, so their criteria are harder to meet.

Strength labels and score

Novira evaluates each coin’s technical outlook by comparing it with other coins and taking the trend direction into account. On market, watchlist and coin detail screens the result is shown only as a strength label: Strong, Strengthening, Watching or Weak. A numerical score appears only for analyses listed on the Analyses screen. A coin in a downtrend cannot receive a high strength label. A strength label on its own is not a buy or sell indicator.

Reference levels

Each analysis in the app shows a reference zone, an upper reference level and an invalidation level. The analysis is no longer valid if the price moves beyond the invalidation level. These levels describe the analysis; they are not instructions.

Negative (downside) outlooks

Negative outlooks describe weakening technical conditions. Acting on them requires derivatives or leveraged products, where you can lose your entire margin. Novira does not encourage the use of leverage.

Data

Market data is sourced from Binance public market data. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile; unforeseeable events such as sudden news or trades by large market participants can affect results.

US STOCKSNBORSA

Market screen

The 1,000 largest stocks by market capitalisation traded on US exchanges are listed. Prices are delayed by 15 minutes. No editorial screening is applied.

Coverage

Analyses are calculated automatically for the 100 largest US stocks by market capitalisation. Because the criteria are strict, it is normal for the list to be empty at times. Coverage may be extended in the future.

Three timeframes

1 hour (short term) reflects the intraday outlook, 1 day (medium term) a multi-day outlook and 1 week (long term) the long-term outlook. The score for each timeframe is calculated separately from that timeframe’s own data, so the same stock can receive different scores on different timeframes. On the stock detail screen, levels are shown only for timeframes that meet the analysis criteria; for the others it is stated that no analysis is available.

How the score is calculated

The score combines measures of trend, momentum, volume and volatility and is expressed as a value between 0 and 100. The indicators displayed in the app represent only part of this assessment, and the calculation method may be refined over time to improve analysis quality.

Downside risk alert

The alert icon shown next to some stocks is an automatic technical indicator showing that bearish technical conditions have become more pronounced. It is neither a prompt to buy or sell nor investment advice, carries no score and should not be compared with upside scores.

Earnings and dividends

Prices can move sharply around earnings announcements, when technical analysis is less reliable. On the ex-dividend date the price usually drops by roughly the dividend amount; this is not technical weakness. NBORSA shows these dates on every stock so that you can read the chart in context.

Data

Price data is delayed by 15 minutes. NBORSA covers US markets only.

Limits of analysis

However strong the mathematical models behind an analysis, market conditions can change suddenly and no analysis can be 100% certain. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Analyses are general and automated; they do not take your financial situation, objectives or risk tolerance into account.

The information provided is not investment advice. Novira and NBORSA are analysis tools, not decision-making mechanisms; the final investment decision rests entirely with the user.
